Biography
Yao joined the Oxford Robotics Institute in October 2020 as a MSc student at Jesus College after completing her undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In Feburary 2023, she transfered to the DPhil programme.
Under the supervision of Prof. Perla Maiolino in the Soft Robotics Lab, Yao's research focuses on the design, modelling and optimisation of soft robotics.
