Biography
Sasha joined the Oxford Robotics Institute in 2017 as a DPhil student at Balliol College. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Science from Oxford University. Previously, Sasha worked with Professor Michael Osborne and the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance on Bayesian machine learning for financial datasets. His Master’s thesis was on “Gaussian Process Sequential Changepoint Detection”.
In 2016 Sasha joined the Autonomous Intelligent Machines and Systems CDT at Oxford where he partook in several projects focused on Reinforcement Learning. His research was on Reinforcement and Transfer Learning for robotic manipulation and was supervised by Professor Ingmar Posner as part of the Applied Artificial Intelligence lab (A2I).
