Biography
Romeo Orsolino received his PhD in 2019 at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genoa, Italy. During his PhD studies, Romeo focused on motion planning for legged robots in rough terrains, under the supervision of Dr. Michele Focchi and Dr. Claudio Semini.
After that, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the same institute and group, the Dynamic Legged Systems lab (DLS), led by Claudio Semini. His research interests are related to computational geometry, optimal control and trajectory optimisation for highly dimensional, nonlinear and hybrid systems such legged robots.
In October 2019, he joined the Dynamic Robot Systems group (DRS) as a Post-Doctoral Researcher, under the supervision of Dr Maurice Fallon, where he continued his work on robot locomotion as part of the RAIN project.
