Jared joins the ORI with a wealth of engineering experience spanning start-ups and heavy industry.
He holds an Honours degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Wollongong, Australia. He kicked off his career in industrial automation and IoT systems, working to drag the steelmaking industry into the 21st century. Frustrated by the glacial pace of progress, he made the leap to start-ups, where he led teams developing smart, recycled battery storage systems and, later, autonomous additive manufacturing factories.
Outside of work, Jared is an keen cyclist and hiker who’s always up for any excuse that gets him outdoors and into nature.
