Biography
David completed a PhD in Aerospace Engineering in 2016 at the University of Colorado, with a research focus on spacecraft orbit planning. During his degree he also interned twice with a NASA JPL team supporting navigation of ESA’s comet orbiter, Rosetta.
He next undertook a two-year postdoctoral position in robotics at Rutgers University, where he applied reinforcement learning methods to control adaptive locomotion by a tensegrity rover. Beginning in May 2019, he worked with Dr. Ioannis Havoutis in the DRS group on dynamic legged locomotion.
