Professor Nick Hawes appointed to new government Robotics Advisory Group

Professor Nick Hawes has been appointed to the DSIT Robotics Advisory Group, an expert advisory body established by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology to provide independent, expert advice to inform government on robotics and autonomous systems policy. The Group is made up of individuals who have expertise in robotics and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by the UK’s robotics sector. 

The Group will provide insights and constructive challenge from across the robotics ecosystem including advising on government robotics policy and strategic direction, providing sectoral and technical insights and championing openness and evidence-based decision making.
