Xiao is a DPhil student in the Goal-Oriented Long-Lived Systems (GOALS) Lab, supervised by Prof. Nick Hawes. Her research focuses on multi-agent reinforcement learning and decision-making in complex, dynamic, and uncertain environments. She aims to enable long-term autonomy in multi-robot systems, allowing robots to operate robustly over extended periods under uncertainty.
Prior to joining the ORI, Xiao earned an M.Phil. in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). She previously received a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen).
