Julia joined the ORI in October 2024 as Senior Project Manager.
Here she is responsible for the financial and operational management of ORI’s externally funded projects (including EPSRC, UKRI, European Research Council, Royal Society and industry) and works alongside the Institute Administrator to manage the entire project cycle, from funding applications to project closure procedures.
Before joining the institute, she was the Project Manager of the National Nuclear User Facility (NNUF). She holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from ITESO University (Mexico), a MSc in Materials Science and PhD in Solid State Chemistry from the University of Sheffield.
Her interests are materials for energy applications, dancing and crafts.
