Francesco Mantegna joined the ORI as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Oiwi Parker Jones.
Before joining the institute, he was a PhD student in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience at New York University, working under the supervision of Dr. David Poeppel. During his PhD, Francesco investigated neural representations, functional connectivity and spectrotemporal dynamics underlying inner speech using magnetoencephalography (MEG).
His current research interests include Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs), Neurotechnology, and Speech Neuroprosthetics.
