From January 2026, Digby will be an Associate Professor in Engineering Science at the Oxford Robotics Institute, and a Tutorial Fellow at St Anne's College. He will lead the Human Enhancing and Augmenting Technology (HEAT) Lab, with a goal of creating body-interfacing robots and technology that restore, improve, and even transform human abilities.
Prior to joining Oxford, Digby obtained his MEng degree from the University of Cambridge, his PhD from Imperial College London, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University. His research has spanned robotics, prosthetics, and wearable assistive technology, with a focus on human-centred design, optimisation, and understanding.
