Biography
Chenying is a DPhil candidate in Engineering Science co-supervised by Prof. Zhong You and Prof. Perla Maiolino. In 2019, Chenying completed her bachelor's degree from the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering at Beihang University. During her undergraduate, Chenying had been fortunate enough to involved in various robotic projects including a wall climbing platform based on electrostatic adhesion and a tactile sensor to decouple tri-axial forces. She also spent a wonderful summer at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor as a research assistant after her third year.
Chenying's current research spans both origami mechanisms and soft robots. She also enjoys reading and meeting friends in her spare time. She is also the academic officer at St Hugh's College MCR. Departmental link: https://eng.ox.ac.uk/people/chenying-liu/
