We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Estimation, Search, and Planning (ESP) group of the Oxford Robotics Institute and the Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford. The post is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and is fixed-term for a period of 1 year.
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to our research effort towards the EPSRC – ACE-OPS project.
The project will investigate and develop metric approaches to multimotion estimation. The work will build on the success of Multimotion Visual Odometry (MVO) to both extend the research towards new fundamental capabilities as well as demonstrate and evaluate the general approach on different sensing modalities and in the real world, including stereo, RGB-D and event-based cameras.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the latest version of this code in conjunction with researchers at ORI and potential industrial partners.
You should have a PhD/DPhil in engineering (or near completion) with a focus on robotics. You should have a proven record of academic excellence in motion estimation and/or computer vision with programming experience in C++, python and other common languages. You should have proven ability to plan and execute experiments.
