Haitz Sáez de Ocáriz Borde is a DPhil researcher at the Oxford Robotics Institute. Ocáriz is supervised by Prof. Ingmar Posner, and is a member of Christ Church College. His research focuses on Geometric Deep Learning and Deep Generative Models. In particular, on how to encode geometry, structure, and compositionality into world models. He is interested in theoretical machine learning as well as applications to robotics and rocket science. Prior to joining Oxford University, Ocáriz completed an MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence at Cambridge University, and an MEng in Aerospace Engineering at Imperial College London with a placement at Harvard University. Following the completion of his MEng, Ocáriz also worked as a researcher at Harvard University, and other institutions.
