Marlin joined the Oxford Robotics Institute in September 2018 as a DPhil student at Lady Margaret Hall. He holds a MSc in Robotics, Systems and Control and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, both awarded by ETH Zurich. During his studies, Marlin completed projects at the Autonomous Systems Lab and the Vision for Robotics Lab at ETH where he was supervised by Prof. R. Siegwart and Prof. M. Chli, respectively.
Marlin’s research is focused on theoretically sound algorithms for anytime path planning in possibly dynamic, high dimensional environments with provable bounds on sub-optimality. He is supervised by Dr Jon Gammell and belongs to the Estimation, Search and Planning Lab.
