Are you a pro-active and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Research and Trials Assistant to support research in the Oxford Robotics Institute, Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford.
A key aspect of this role is coordinating and supporting practical activities and trials within the Oxford Robotics Institute. Working alongside the group’s academics, engineering team, project management team and researchers, you will be responsible for making arrangements for project field trials, visits and demos. Reporting to the Research and Trials Manager you will take direction on overall work priorities but should be able to manage your time and prioritise day-to-day tasks without close supervision.
Your tasks will be varied and include; devising logistical plans, being point-of-contact for activities, organising insurance, packing up specialist robotic equipment, completing risk assessments and being an active member of the trial team. You will also play a central role in promoting the ORI’s research by creating media content (photographs and short videos) and updating the website.
You must have proven experience of planning and scheduling to ensure complex activities are coordinated as well as experience of supporting or coordinating practical projects or activities. Excellent administration and organizational skills as well as strong IT and communication skills are essential.
